HIGH UP TO THE SKY - ILS Chile delivered project in 5000 metres altitude
ILS Chile, United Ocean Lines exclusive local network partner, successfully delivered project cargo to the area of the volcano Cerro Pabellón.
The project transport related to a geothermal plant next to the Cerro Pabellón at 5000 metres altitude included pipes and accessories.
ILS Chile, in charge of transport and deconsolidation of the goods, successfully deconsolidated more that 120 containers in the seaports of Iquique and Antofagasta, resulting in 200 truckloads of pipes with different diameters.
The transport had to cross the Atacama Desert, facing temperatures of -15° C in the early morning and +39° C in the afternoon. All paired with winds of up to 80 km/hr.
Despite of the adverse weather conditions, ILS CHILE delivered all goods without any damage and ahead of time.

SINGAPORE – MALAYSIA | OVERSIZED CARGO EXPRESS DELIVERY
SSC Shipping Malaysia, United Ocean Lines exclusive local network partner, successfully delivered oversized cargo within 24 hours express delivery conditions.
What happens when a client needs some specialized equipment like “load banks” to be delivered within 24 hours so that some vital generator sets can be tested and certified for use? Especially considering that the cargo is based in a neighboring country.
The right type of trucks had to be used to perform the delivery from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, including customs clearance at both borders. All the arrangements had to be done at the same time. Coordination with the supplier, customs department and the client was crucial so that the units were delivered in the shortest amount of time, so that there would be no delay in getting the generator sets certified before being deployed for use.
SSC Shipping Malaysia managed to do it with very little time to spare.

RECORD BREAKING LOAD ON "COSCO WELLINGTON"
SSC Shipping Malaysia, United Ocean Lines exclusive local network partner, successfully delivered the confirmed biggest and heaviest UC (Un-Containerised) load via Port Klang
on a COSCO vessel.
The cargo loaded on “COSCO Wellington” bound for Shanghai was loaded on a platform consisting of 4 units of flat rack.
Almost reaching the gantry crane max load (65 tons) with 63.9 it also is been recognized the heaviest piece loaded this way by the port operator.
The unit, being a fabricated structure for use on an oil rig measured 9.4 x 9.4 x 6.5 meters, had to be delivered by barge, exceeding road limits.
SSC Shipping had to receive the cargo with a heavy crane, loaded onto a multi-axle trailer and shunt the cargo to the vessel as per operational schedule of the port. The whole job took about 6 hours to complete.

OFFSHORE DRILLING TOWER | SSC SHIPPING performed sequence delivery
SSC Shipping Malaysia, United Ocean Lines exclusive local network partner, successfully finalized the delivery of an offshore drilling tower from Ras Al Khaimah, UAE by ocean to Port Klang, Malaysia and then further on to Ranong supply base in Thailand, overland.
While to be deployed on a drilling platform offshore the coastline of Myanmar, jointly developed between Thai National Oil and Myanmar Oil Corp., the drilling tower had to be knocked down for transport and stuffed on special equipment and into containers.
Enabling a sound re-assembling the shipments had to be performed in sequences, means first in – last out. Same also required using transport services with different transit times.
SSC Shipping was involved from end to end including customs brokerage in 3 countries, packing, sea and road transport, where the latter did already count for a distance of close to 1000 kilometres.
