UNITED OCEAN LINES Global Agency Meeting (GAM) confirms expansion strategy
The Global Agency Meeting (GAM) of United Ocean Lines, being held in Beijing in May 2011, confirmed the successful business strategy as well as formed the direction of the companies’ future growth.

Dynamic areas such as West Africa, Central and South America West Coast but also the Caribbean Sea, offering a sound potential of growth for the upcoming years are being set to support and complete today’s setup already covering more than 50 countries on a global scale.
Having been able to start servicing both Ecuador and Panama in the recent past, the latest addition now also allows to offer containerized services to and from the Dominican Republic.

However United Ocean Lines business strategy does not only focus towards an ongoing territorial growth but also aim to strengthen the diversity of the different business segments such as consolidation or project cargo in addition to today’s core business segment – Full Container Loads (FCL)

An ongoing and careful evaluation of market trends and forecasts will allow United Ocean Lines to continue an over proportional growth, despite an increasing imbalance of supply and demand on several major routes.
It is our aim to maintain the position of a reliable and quality driven partner towards our clients, members but also vendors a spokesman of the company said.

UOL network partner ALLSEAS GLOBAL LOGISTICS wins BIFA award for unique Congo base camp challenge
"Allseas Global Logistics" (www.allseasglobal.com) was named the winner of the Project Forwarding Award at the annual BIFA (British International Freight Association) Freight Service Awards.
The project contracted to Allseas Global Logistics required sourcing, assembling, packing and delivering of all materials, components, vehicles, equipment and supplies required to create a base camp for mine workers in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s remote jungle.
The package of transport solutions included twice landing of a fully loaded Ilyushin 76 on the short, unlit, unmanned Isiro airstrip seven miles from the camp site; gathering together 30 off-road and all-terrain vehicles, each one packed with equipment, from three African states; barging these vehicles up the Congo River on a newly built specialist barge, taller than normal with strengthened vehicle load ramps; and creating a road through the remote jungle to the final destination.

"We congratulate Allseas Global Logistics for being named winner of the 'Project Forwarding Award' for this challenging project carried out in a protective nature environment. This award also proves the quality and dedication that is rendered towards the business by our individual partners" a spokesman of United Ocean Lines said.
